STM Trucks & Machinery, a family-owned dealership, operates across three locations in New South Wales. The company is based in Smeaton Grange in Western Sydney, with additional branches in Queanbeyan West and Unanderra. The business has been in operation for more than 50 years and was originally established as Sydney Trucks and Machinery before rebranding to STM.
The head office is located at 20-26 Dunn Road in Smeaton Grange. The new truck range includes Iveco and Fuso. The machinery range includes Kobelco, D’avino, Merlo, and ASV. Pre-owned stock is held across both truck and machinery categories.
The parts division stocks genuine and aftermarket parts for IVECO, International, FUSO, Kobelco, ASV, and Cummins. Parts not held in stock are sourced through supplier networks. Delivery operations run twice daily across Metropolitan Sydney. Afternoon delivery runs cover the Southern Highlands and Wollongong region.
The workshop operates six days per week. The facility is configured to accommodate B-Double vehicles. After-hours emergency repair support is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. On-site facilities include four courtesy vehicles for customer use, a customer lounge with television and refreshments, and rest facilities.
The in-house finance division processes finance applications for truck and machinery purchases. A mobile service is available for customers who are unable to attend the dealership during business hours. Installation services are included with machinery purchases. Maintenance plans are available as separate service options.
The customer base across the three locations includes tradespeople, landscapers, civil contractors, transport operators, and small business owners. Light commercial vehicles such as the Iveco Daily and Fuso Canter are commonly purchased for urban delivery and trade applications. Larger truck configurations and machinery units, including Kobelco excavators and Merlo telehandlers, are used in civil construction, earthmoving, and agricultural operations.
As a truck dealership in Smeaton Grange, STM operates a consultation-based sales process. Customers provide information on job requirements, budget, and intended use before specific units are identified. The dealership handles trade-ins and finance applications alongside vehicle sales.
The inventory of commercial trucks for sale in Sydney covers light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty vehicle classes. Light commercial trucks are commonly used for urban deliveries and trade applications. Medium-duty trucks serve businesses requiring higher payload capacity. Heavy-duty trucks are used for long-haul transport, construction, and bulk material movement.
STM maintains ongoing dealership agreements with Iveco, Fuso, Kobelco, ASV, Merlo, and D’avino. Parts supply and warranty support are administered through STM for these brands. The dealership also works with finance partners to facilitate funding for truck and machinery purchases.
The dealership operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The dealership is closed on Sundays. After-hours emergency repair support is available through a dedicated contact line for existing customers and operators requiring immediate assistance.
