GrinderCrusherScreen, a national equipment company serving the crushing, screening, grinding, composting, and shredding industries since 1973, announced today the launch of rentals.grindercrusherscreen.com, a free matching service that introduces contractors who need equipment to GrinderCrusherScreen customers who own it and have it available to rent.
Every machine in the network is one GrinderCrusherScreen sold. The company knows the unit, the parts, and the owner. That is a different proposition from a general rental listing site, where the machine and the seller are both unknowns.
The service costs nothing. A contractor tells GrinderCrusherScreen what he needs, and the company introduces him to a customer who owns that machine and has it available. Weekday inquiries get a reply from a person within one business day. From there, the two parties handle the rest. Rate, terms, delivery, and the rental agreement are between the owner and the renter. GrinderCrusherScreen does not set pricing, take a percentage, or charge either side.
Coverage currently runs across seven states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi are planned for 2026, followed by Kentucky and Ohio in 2027.
Equipment available through the service includes concrete crushers, trommel screens, air burners, and vibratory screeners, covering demolition, site prep, compost, topsoil, aggregate, land clearing, storm debris, and C and D debris work.
For owners, listing is a benefit of buying from GrinderCrusherScreen. The owner sets his own rate and there is no charge to participate. Listing takes a phone call. An owner tells GrinderCrusherScreen what he has, where it sits, and when it is free. The company adds it to the network and calls him when a contractor in his area needs that machine. He can decline any match, take the machine off the list at any time, and set whatever rate he wants. There is no listing agreement to sign and nothing owed to GrinderCrusherScreen whether a rental happens or not.
The timing follows a pattern GrinderCrusherScreen has watched for years. Contractors win a contract that calls for one machine they do not own, and the job is too short to justify a purchase. Meanwhile another contractor forty miles away has that exact machine parked between contracts. Both problems solve each other, but neither party knows the other exists. GrinderCrusherScreen is in a position to make the introduction because it sold both of them their equipment and knows what is sitting in whose yard.
“Our whole job is helping customers turn expenses into profits,” said Alex Laldin, President of GrinderCrusherScreen. “A machine sitting in the yard between jobs is a payment going out with nothing coming in. We know who owns what, because we sold it. So when a contractor calls looking for a trommel, we can point him at one forty miles away that is already sitting idle. He sets his own rate and they work out the deal. We are in the parts and equipment business. Machines that run make us money down the road, and that is fine by us.”
Laldin also pointed to the other side of the match. “Not every job justifies buying. Sometimes a contractor needs a screener for one contract and that is it. We would rather point him to a machine one of our customers already owns than lose him because we only had one answer. He gets the work done, our customer gets paid, and when he is ready to buy, he knows who we are.”
