Collaboration expands opportunities for athletes with disabilities to participate in ESNG’s annual community fundraiser
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Easterseals North Georgia (ESNG), a community-based nonprofit that provides high-quality services to children with disabilities and families, is partnering with the Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF) to make this year’s annual Trick or Treat Trot 5K an even more inclusive community experience, bringing together two organizations committed to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to participate, connect and thrive.
The Trick or Treat Trot 5K is one of Easterseals North Georgia’s signature fundraising events, bringing together runners, families, and community members of all abilities while raising funds to support ESNG’s programs for children with disabilities and their families. Through this year’s partnership, KPF will recruit athletes with disabilities to participate in this event, provide adaptive racing chairs and other equipment as needed, and pair In-Chair Athletes with Teammates/Pushers. KPF will cover participation costs for In-Chair Athletes and their Teammates/Pushers, including participating families from ESNG’s Champions for Children program.

Founded in 2011 by brothers Kyle and Brent Pease, the Kyle Pease Foundation works to improve the lives of people with disabilities through sports and beyond. As part of the partnership, KPF will also bring its Kyle Pease Kids Program to the event. The program pairs In-Chair Athletes under age 21 with Teammates ages 10 -18, giving young athletes the opportunity to complete the race together while building confidence, the experience of teamwork, meaningful connections.

The Trick or Treat Trot is open to the entire community and includes a 5K, .5K Fun Run and free Spooky Sprint for children ages nine and younger. Participants can register individually, create a team or fundraise in support of ESNG. This year’s event has a goal of raising $100,000 to help support ESNG services for more than 5,000 children.
