Mediaocean, the foundational software and AI partner for omnichannel advertising, today announced the appointment of Iván Markman as President and Chief Operating Officer. Markman will report to CEO Bill Wise and will be responsible for driving global operational alignment and performance as the company accelerates its next phase of growth.
The appointment comes at an inflection point for the industry, as AI shifts from experimentation to execution across how advertising is planned, created, activated, measured, and optimized. Mediaocean has been at the forefront of this shift with its platforms, Innovid, Prisma, and Protected, introducing agent-based capabilities designed to unify workflows, data, and decisioning amid historic ecosystem complexity.
In this newly created role, Markman will focus on scaling Mediaocean’s operating model to drive this transformation. Specifically, he will align the company’s global teams, platforms, and partners to deliver faster innovation and stronger outcomes for customers as they navigate the transition to AI-driven marketing. Markman will also play a critical role in unifying operations across Mediaocean, helping the company fully leverage the combined power of its solutions to deliver even greater value for advertisers and agencies.
“Iván is a proven operator who has led organizations through periods of significant transformation at a global scale,” said Wise. “As we continue to advance our AI capabilities and bring more intelligence and automation into the core of advertising, Iván’s experience across ad tech, data, and enterprise platforms will be critical in helping us translate that innovation into execution and results.”
Markman brings more than two decades of experience leading growth, transformation, and operational scale across some of the most complex businesses in advertising and technology. Most recently, he led Yahoo’s B2B division, overseeing ad tech, search, and Edgecast, which together represented the majority of the company’s revenue and operations. In that role, he drove a multi-year transformation, improving profitability and strengthening its competitive position, culminating in Verizon Media’s $5 billion sale to Apollo.
Earlier in his career, Markman served as COO of MarketShare, where he helped scale the company into a global leader in marketing analytics and SaaS, leading to its acquisition by Neustar. He went on to lead Neustar’s Marketing Services business, overseeing strategy, product, and operations for a $300 million division. Across these roles, he has consistently focused on building high-performing organizations, integrating complex systems and aligning product, go-to-market, and operations to drive measurable business outcomes.
“I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of advertising, data, and technology during periods of rapid change,” said Markman. “What stands out about Mediaocean is its position at the center of the ecosystem and its clear vision for how AI and automation can transform the way the industry operates. I’m focused on scaling that vision, aligning our teams and partners, and accelerating the impact we deliver for customers.”
Markman’s appointment follows a series of recent leadership advancements across Mediaocean’s executive team, including the elevation of Zvika Netter to Chief Innovation Officer, Guy Kuperman to Chief Strategy Officer, and the addition of industry veteran Michael Kassan as Vice Chairman. These moves reinforce the company’s focus on innovation, operational excellence, and customer outcomes. In his role as President and COO, Markman will partner closely with the broader leadership team to further integrate Mediaocean’s platforms and capabilities, including its growing portfolio of AI-powered solutions. He will also help customers navigate the shift toward more automated, intelligent, and outcome-driven advertising.
