Global Vitiligo Foundation Applauds Incyte’s “Moments of Clarity” Campaign for Elevating Patient Voices and Advancing Vitiligo Awareness

The Global Vitiligo Foundation (GVF) proudly recognizes and supports Incyte’s Moments of Clarity campaign, a powerful storytelling initiative that highlights the lived experiences of individuals with nonsegmental vitiligo. Through authentic patient narratives, the campaign closely aligns with GVF’s mission to improve the quality of life for people affected by vitiligo through education, advocacy, and community connection.

Moments of Clarity captures pivotal turning points in patients’ journeys—from recognizing the need for support, to seeking care, to experiencing meaningful progress in managing their condition. These stories not only raise awareness of vitiligo but also foster understanding, empowerment, and hope within the global vitiligo community.

“This campaign reflects the heart of what GVF stands for: ensuring that people living with vitiligo feel seen, supported, and empowered,” said Seemal R. Desai, MD, President of the Global Vitiligo Foundation. “By elevating real voices and real journeys, Moments of Clarity helps break down stigma while reinforcing the importance of informed care and community connection.”

This year, Incyte introduces three new stories from patients who exemplify the resilience and self-discovery of the nonsegmental vitiligo treatment process as they experience meaningful improvement in their condition with Opzelura® (ruxolitinib) cream 1.5%:

  • Carolyn, who gave Opzelura a second try and learned that persistence and patience are key to seeing results with treatment. By staying consistent and connecting with the vitiligo community, she is now achieving her personal treatment goals.

  • Tiffanie, diagnosed at age 7, who embraced a journey of self-love over decades before choosing to explore treatment. Inspired by her grandmother’s courage, she now channels her experience into advocacy through the I AM GREAT MOVEMENT.

  • Kasey, a mother and sports enthusiast, who spent years concealing her vitiligo before reclaiming her confidence. Now working at Incyte as a sales representative, she uses her personal experience to help others find hope and a sense of control.

“These stories reflect the diversity of the vitiligo experience and highlight the importance of individualized journeys,” Dr. Desai added. “They reinforce that treatment decisions are deeply personal and that support systems, whether clinical or community-based, play a vital role in overall well-being.”

GVF’s vision is a world where the burden of vitiligo is eliminated through compassion, care, and cure. Initiatives like Moments of Clarity contribute meaningfully to that vision by increasing public awareness, encouraging patient engagement, and promoting conversations around care options and emotional well-being. GVF is proud to have Incyte as a sponsor in support of the global vitiligo community.

The Global Vitiligo Foundation encourages patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to explore these inspiring stories and learn more about the journeys of individuals living with nonsegmental vitiligo by visiting www.mymomentsofclarity.com.

Together, through education, storytelling, and collaboration, GVF and partners like Incyte continue to advance a more informed, compassionate, and hopeful future for the vitiligo community.
